Neutoneから新しいMax for Liveデバイスをリリースしました。手持ちのドラムループやMIDIデータをAbleton Live上で学習。小さな小さなリズム生成モデルで、リズムを自由にモーフィングさせて遊ぶことができます。

僕が2019年ごろに作ったプロトタイプ、M4L.RhythmVAEのコンセプトに基づいて、UI/UXを刷新。さらに、オーディオ・ファイルをMIDIに変換するdrum transcriptionモデルを追加しました。リズム・ループのオーディオファイルを学習データとして用いることが可能です。

neu.rhythm is a generative MIDI tool that turns your personal drum loop library into a real-time playground for new grooves, allowing you to find unexpected inspiration.

By uploading a custom drum loop dataset directly inside Ableton Live, you can train a lightweight machine learning model on your own terms. From there, you have complete control over the generation process, adjusting the model’s behaviour from highly random, serendipitous patterns to fluid morphing between interpretations of your original grooves. This device is an active real-time performance and production partner designed to push your rhythms in new directions.
